Wills through windows

Published on Apr 20, 2020 by Vanessa Fielding on Wills

You may have heard about “Wills through windows” in the media. You may have wondered is this real? The answer is yes.

When a Will is signed it has to be signed in the presence of 2 witnesses who must sign their names in the presence of the person making the Will (the Testator). There is no reason that the witnesses cannot be on the other side of a window as long as they can all still see each other. This allows us to comply with the social distancing advice and still allow clients to sign in our presence.

We are happy to provide this service at our Offices in Hythe and Totton where we have suitable ground floor windows and off road space for you to stand.

Please get in touch with our Wills and Probate team if you are interested in making a Will.
